Alexandr Wang is an American technology executive and Meta's chief AI officer. He left the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to co-found Scale AI in 2016, building it into the main supplier of labeled training data and human evaluation to AI labs, autonomous vehicle programs and the United States government. Scale's work sat underneath much of the industry's model development, which gave him unusual visibility into how frontier systems are actually trained. In 2025 Meta took a large stake in Scale AI and brought him in to lead its superintelligence effort, and he now runs Meta Superintelligence Labs along with the company's model research and recruiting. He is among the youngest executives running a frontier AI program and speaks publicly on AI and national competitiveness.
