NVIDIA is a United States semiconductor company whose graphics processors and AI systems run most frontier model training and inference. Founded in 1993 and originally focused on 3D graphics for games, it moved into general-purpose computing with the CUDA programming platform, which turned its GPUs into the default hardware for scientific computing and later for deep learning. That software layer, more than any single chip, is the source of its position: a large share of AI code is written against CUDA and the libraries built on it. The company now sells complete data center systems rather than only chips, including networking acquired with Mellanox and rack-scale designs combining GPUs, CPUs and interconnect. AI demand has made it one of the most valuable companies in the world. Our coverage has followed Amazon tripling its GPU order, NVIDIA's reported move to acquire Hugging Face, its Groq investment entering full production, and its AVO harness improving model results on ARC-AGI-3.
